Types of AHUs according Cooling / Heating Coil

There are two types of AHUs. The ‘DX-AHU’ and the ‘Chilled Water AHU’. The DX-AHU has a coil in which the refrigerant is used for carrying of heat from air. The Chilled Water AHU has a coil in which the water is used for carrying of heat from air.

Types of AHUs according Fan

There are two types of AHUs. The ‘blow-through’ and the ‘draw-through’. The blow-through AHU has a fan which blows the air through the mixing box, cooling coil and filters before it goes to the ducting network. The draw-through AHU can be vertical or horizontal.
